I wasn’t supposed to be here—not as a veteran, not as a healthcare leader, and certainly not with a doctorate in organizational leadership. But I refused to let my circumstances define me.

From a childhood shaped by poverty to the ranks of the U.S. Air Force and executive healthcare leadership, I’ve faced toxic workplaces, self-doubt, and outdated leadership norms that left too many women unseen and unheard.
